PENSACOLA, FL–(Marketwired – March 30, 2016) – Pensacola Business Radio spotlighted lifestyle and fitness expert Laticia “Action” Jackson and her efforts to help women find the tools to become empowered and to transform their lives. Host Keith Hoffert talked with Jackson about how she uses her public health and physical fitness background to reach women on a local and regional level.
Jackson describes herself as a recovering perfectionist. “The word perfect is a lie,” she says. “Nothing in life will ever be perfect and I’m becoming okay with this reality.” She shares this message with women both through her writing and her public speaking engagements. Jackson has authored four health and wellness books including ”I’m Not a Size Zero, I’m a Size Healthy”, a women’s fitness and wellness training book that focuses on the impact the media has on women and their body image. Her successful workshop “Love Your Body, Love Yourself” was created from ”I’m Not a Size Zero”.
A survivor of domestic violence, “Action” Jackson has worked with several major health organizations to get her word out to women. The American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association and American Cancer Society all have used Jackson’s expertise for nationwide health promotion and health awareness events. Jackson also is an annual fixture at The Emmett Tills Legacy Foundations “Loving from the Inside Out Symposium” and Alpha Kappa Alpha’s “Paint the City Pink Breast Cancer Event”. “As a recovering perfectionist,” Jackson proclaims, “I tell perfection where to go, not the other way around.”
Jackson will also be speaking at the upcoming Day for Women by Women at Pensacola’s Sacred Heart Hospital Center on April 30, 2016.
