Trade Show Radio Broadcasts LIVE from Four Athens Open House

On January 21, 2014, Trade Show Radio was live in Athens, Georgia for the 2nd Annual Open House at Four Athens.

Four Athens was formed to discover startups, build community, connect creativity, accelerate growth and invest in success. They work passionately every day with new companies to help them succeed which in turn helps Athens succeed. Four Athens exists to support the startup community.

The Open House featured demos by a selection of Four Athens companies, free food and drinks, and networking with some of the best and brightest in Athens. For the first time, they also awarded prizes for the best startup of 2013 and the best founder of the year.

Trade Show Radio spotlights Booth 61 with Ricky Steele who was broadcasting live at the Atlanta CEO Council’s Holiday Celebration, held at the Junior Achievement’s Chick-fil-A Foundation Discovery Center on Monday, December 9, 2013.

This special evening provided a first look at this fantastic educational facility where the Atlanta CEO Council joined 50 of Atlanta’s top corporate partners in Junior Achievement’s Chick-fil-A Foundation Discovery Center.

The Discovery Center will provide more than 30,000 students with a dynamic learning experience designed to enhance their financial literacy and build skills for personal and professional success.

The Atlanta CEO Council and several partner organizations have created a “Start-Up Storefront” branded as stArTLe, designed to expose students to the entrepreneurial experience and provide them with information about the startup ecosystem that supports growing businesses.

The stArTLe teams will build a different business each day, with the ultimate goal of managing to profitability by the end of the day through both B2C and B2B transactions.

All proceeds go directly to Junior Achievement and are 100% tax deductible. There are several options available including purchasing a logo that is added to the start-ups wall in the stArTLe space.

Administrative Sales Support

Position Summary

This role primarily provides virtual and some on-site administrative support to the Sales Team and Booking Manager.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

  • Provide direct administrative support to the Sales Team and Booking Manager
  • Carry out work projects as assigned by the Sales and Booking Managers, Executives and/or other Managers within the RadioX Studio Team
  • Data mine, develop spreadsheets, coordinate sales leads
  • Maintain studio calendars and guests scheduling, schedules for meetings, appointments, travel, etc.
  • Coordinate guest interviews, client meetings, etc. via email and phone
  • Monitor and distribute all incoming and outgoing correspondence and maintain files
  • Liaise with Studios for corporate office and/or client functions
  • Provide backup support for other Studio Team Members as needed
  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as an Administrative/Sales Support Assistant
  • Familiarity with the hospitality industry a plus
  • Commercial/residential real estate closing attorney, or front office medical/dental industry a plus

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:

  • Flexibility and the ability to set priorities and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to handle and manage multiple tasks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must have great problem solving skills, show leadership and excellent communication, both oral and written
  • Ability to work independently and proactively while maintaining a customer service oriented attitude in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive material in a highly professional manner
  • Mature judgment, willingness to take responsibility, and initiative to make decisions within the scope of responsibilities

Education:

  • College degree and/or equivalent work experience

Additional Information

This is a contract position, 30+ hours per week.

Primary Location is virtual with bi weekly meetings and/or events at our corporate office in Sandy Springs, GA.

Radio Producer (Part-Time)

Position Summary

This role primarily involves broadcasting of audio content via web-based radio.

Key Responsibilities / Duties

  • Operate proprietary audio equipment
  • Manage remote broadcasts
  • Maintain studio engineering documentation
  • Interact with guests
  • Execute social media for studio shows
  • Ensure that professional standards are always maintained

Qualifications

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 3 years work experience

Skills / Other Personal Attributes Desired:

  • Communication skills and interpersonal interaction skills should be excellent, also to suit different audience and scenarios
  • Ability to maintain effective terms and communication internally as well as externally

Education:

  • College degree and/or equivalent work experience

Additional Information

This is a contract part-time role. Studios are located in Atlanta, GA. Flexibility with evenings and travel needed for occasional remote broadcasts.
